Camping by the lake is one of the most adventurous things to do in Ladakh. Aside from the monasteries – Thiksey, Shey, Alchi, Hemis, and Stakna – I had visited Khardungla and Nubra Valley.
I had also intended to visit the Ladakh lakes of PangongTso, TsoMoriri, and TsoKar. PangongTso will always be unique to me.
The tops of the mountains were kissed by low-hanging clouds, and streams mirrored the colours.
As we snuggled into our sleeping bags, the sun set. From our tents, we could see the night sky. The stars seemed to be looking down on us.
It was cold, even freezing, but breathtakingly beautiful.Seeing the sunset and sleeping under the stars at PangongTso is the one experience from all of my trips that stands out as the best moment of my life.
This is one of the many things to do in Ladakh that I strongly recommend!
